For the past year, I have been painting images of ancient stone monuments inspired by slide images taken by my dad. I ran out of images early this summer and have been anxiously looking forward to making a trip east to see if I could find more. I knew they were located in two places, first the NEARA (New England Antiquities Research Association) library in Concord, New Hampshire and second in my sister's basement. I just got back from my search and report that I was successful. Most of the slides came from the boxes and boxes of slides in my sister's basement. Each time I opened another one, I thanked my dad since most of them were labeled with date, location and sometimes the people in the picture. I came home with enough images to paint for many years to come.
